👋 Introduction

Welcome to PasteKit. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the PasteKit iOS app, its keyboard extension, and its share extension (collectively, the “App”).

📋 Clipboard Content

PasteKit is designed so the clips you save remain on your device. Clipboard content is not uploaded to our servers.

                ✅ Data That Stays on Your Device
                Saved clips — Text, images, creation dates, pinned status, and sort order are stored locally.
Shared app storage — The main app, PasteKit keyboard, and share extension use an Apple App Group container on your device so they can access the same saved clips.
Preferences — Settings such as language, onboarding status, clipboard monitoring preference, and display options are stored locally.

            

PasteKit accesses clipboard text or images when you ask it to import or save content, or when you enable clipboard monitoring. You can disable clipboard monitoring in the App’s settings. Content you delete is removed from PasteKit’s local database, subject to normal device backup behavior managed by Apple.

⌨️ PasteKit Keyboard

The PasteKit keyboard displays clips from the App’s shared on-device container and inserts a clip only when you select it. PasteKit does not record, store, or transmit what you type. The keyboard does not send your saved clips to us.

iOS controls keyboard permissions. If Full Access is required to read PasteKit’s shared container, that permission is used only to provide the keyboard’s clipboard functionality.

💳 Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. PasteKit uses RevenueCat to display products, validate purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether the PasteKit Pro entitlement is active.

Information Processed for Purchases

An anonymous RevenueCat App User ID generated by the RevenueCat SDK. PasteKit does not provide your name or email address as this identifier.
Product identifiers, purchase and subscription status, entitlement status, transaction information, and related app or device information needed to provide and troubleshoot purchases.
Apple manages your payment details. PasteKit does not receive or store your full payment card information.

🚫 What We Do Not Do

We do not upload your clipboard text or images to our servers.
We do not sell your personal information or clipboard content.
We do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
We do not include third-party advertising or marketing analytics.
We do not require a PasteKit account, name, email address, contacts, or precise location to use the App.

🗑️ Data Retention and Deletion

You control your locally saved clips and can delete them in PasteKit. Deleting the App generally removes its local data, subject to Apple’s device backup and restore behavior. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide purchases, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and maintain subscription history.

To request assistance with purchase-related privacy information, contact us using the address below. Because PasteKit uses an anonymous RevenueCat identifier and does not require an account, we may ask for your anonymous App User ID or purchase information needed to locate the relevant record.

👶 Children’s Privacy

PasteKit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the App, please contact us.

🛡️ Data Security

Your saved clips are protected by the security features of your Apple device, including your device passcode and biometric authentication where enabled. Purchase information transmitted to Apple or RevenueCat is protected using their security measures. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

🌍 International Processing

Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase-related information in countries other than the one where you live, as described in their privacy policies and subject to applicable safeguards.

📝 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PasteKit’s features, service providers, or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
