👋 Introduction

Welcome to eCam. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the eCam iOS app to record videos with your device cameras and microphone.

📷 Camera and Video Recording

eCam uses camera access only to show live previews and record videos that you choose to capture. The app is designed for dual camera recording on supported physical iPhone models.

✅ Data That Stays on Your Device

  • Camera previews - Front and rear camera previews are processed on your device while you use the app.
  • Recorded videos - Completed videos are saved to your Photos library when recording finishes.
  • Recording settings - Preferences such as default camera, quality, frame rate, codec, grid mode, and layout choices are stored locally on your device.

eCam does not upload your camera feed, previews, or recorded videos to our servers.

🎙️ Microphone

eCam requests microphone access so audio can be recorded with your videos. Microphone access is used only for recording features you start in the app.

eCam does not record audio in the background and does not transmit microphone audio to us.

🖼️ Photos Library

eCam requests add-only access to your Photos library so completed recordings can be saved to your device.

How Photos Access Is Used

  • eCam saves completed video files to your Photos library.
  • eCam does not need to browse your existing photos or videos.
  • Temporary recording files are removed after a successful save.

🚫 What We Do Not Do

  • We do not upload your videos, camera previews, or microphone audio to our servers.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
  • We do not include third-party advertising or marketing analytics in this app build.
  • We do not require an eCam account, name, email address, contacts, precise location, or payment details to use the app.

⚙️ Device Compatibility

Dual camera capture requires a physical iPhone model with Apple MultiCam support. On unsupported devices or Simulator, eCam may show a camera-unavailable or MultiCam-not-supported message instead of recording controls.

🗑️ Data Retention and Deletion

Videos saved by eCam are stored in your Photos library on your device. You can delete saved videos at any time from the Photos app. Deleting eCam generally removes its local settings, subject to normal iOS backup and restore behavior managed by Apple.

👶 Children's Privacy

eCam is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the app, please contact us.

🛡️ Data Security

Your recordings and local settings are protected by the security features of your Apple device, including your device passcode and biometric authentication where enabled. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

🌍 International Processing

This app build does not upload videos, account data, analytics, or tracking data to our servers. If you contact us for support, your message may be processed by the email services used to receive and respond to your request.
