👋 Introduction

Welcome to Claudio. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our iOS audio recording application, including its advertising, rewarded advertising, transcription, and in-app purchase features.

🔒 Information We Collect

We do not operate an account system or developer backend, and we do not upload your recordings or transcripts to our servers. Claudio is designed to keep your recordings and recording library on your device. Third-party services used for advertising and purchases may process limited information as described below.

🎙️ Microphone Access

Claudio requests microphone access so you can create audio recordings. Microphone access is used only when you start recording. You can manage this permission at any time in your device settings.

📝 On-Device Transcription

If you choose to generate a transcript, Claudio requests access to Apple's Speech Recognition service and requires a language and device that support on-device recognition. The audio is processed on your device, and the resulting transcript remains in Claudio's local library. Claudio does not upload the recording or transcript to our servers.

📤 Exporting and Sharing

When you export or share a recording, the destination you choose may process that file according to its own privacy policy. Claudio does not control how third-party apps, cloud services, or sharing destinations handle exported files.

📣 Advertising and Google AdMob

Claudio uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display App Open ads, Native ads, and optional Rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are shown only after you choose to watch one. After you complete an eligible rewarded ad, Claudio stores an expiration time on your device and disables ads for 30 minutes.

Google may use this information to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, and improve its advertising services. Depending on applicable law, your device settings, and available consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

💳 In-App Purchase and Remove Ads

Claudio offers an optional, non-consumable Remove Ads purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple may process your Apple Account, transaction identifier, purchase status, storefront, device information, payment information, and related fraud-prevention or diagnostic information under Apple's own policies.

Claudio receives only the product and verified entitlement information needed to complete or restore the purchase and determine whether ads should be disabled. We do not receive or store your complete payment card or bank account details. Purchase records may be retained by Apple as required for billing, refunds, purchase restoration, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and customer support.

⚙️ Your Choices

You may decline an optional rewarded ad and continue using Claudio. You may permanently disable Claudio's advertising by purchasing Remove Ads, subject to Apple's purchase terms. Advertising and privacy preferences may also be managed through your Apple device settings and Google's My Ad Center where available.

You can delete recordings, transcripts, and related metadata from Claudio. Uninstalling the app generally removes locally stored app data, subject to your device's backup and restore settings. Apple may continue to retain purchase records, and Google may retain advertising information, according to their respective policies and legal obligations.

🔗 Third-Party Services

The third-party services relevant to Claudio are Google AdMob for advertising and Apple services for App Store purchases and on-device speech recognition. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Claudio does not upload your recordings or transcripts to a developer-operated server.

👶 Children's Privacy

Claudio is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Google and Apple may process limited information through their services as described above. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with Claudio, please contact us.

🛡️ Data Security

Recordings, transcripts, and metadata that remain on your device are protected by your device's built-in security features, including passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and system-level file protection where available. Information transmitted to Google or Apple is protected by their security measures. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
